Hi just brought a mariner 40 hp magnum and water worked on the cups but when
in water had no water cooling.Went home tried again worked for a while then
nothing so we no impellor was done for.the problem is all the bolts are out
and the shaft is stuck in the power head are local outboard repairs man said
it is throw away.We have a small gap but only 7 mil and have tried levering
any help would be great as I'm stuck with it now and have lost money.

Did the engine overheat--or was it just that there was no water from
the peehole. Peeholes plug up very easily--and can be opened be
pushing weedeater string in and out a few times

There is also a possible way to get the lower unit off when the drive
shaft is stuck in the crank shaft. It doesn't always work but has been
khown to save a few engines. Just ask pinehouseUK DeleteThis @aol.com

yep lots of steam but stopped before anyworse could happen
