What kind of boat do you have in mind?

If you're thinking real closed-course competition, forget it. The
commercial boats are better than you'll build in your first twenty.

If a little less performance is needed, Graham King's Kingfisher might be
OK. Plans are available from Woodenboat and there was a series of
how-to-build articles.

If you're interested in a 'recreational' sliding-seat boat or for open-water
races, the variety broadens further.

What do you want?
