Cheers Martin,
Not bad on sportboat pricing although a little fiddly to navigate as I
speak no Dutch. The used sportboat prices are probably 35% less than in the
UK, which means that it is probably worth a drive up there the next time I
pop over to Calais.

Sorry about that. The site was multilingual for years, for some reason
the site was modified. People have complained and they promised to
put it back into English etc., but so far that hasn't materialised.
Keep checking!

or take the Stena High Speed ferry from Harwich to the Hoek of
Holland?
It's about 4.5 hours from Calais to the Amsterdam area, depending on
traffic.
If you need a survey organise it via the ANWB, the equivalent of
AA/RAC/RYA/CTC/Cravan Club/... you name it they represent it. They are
cheaper and more reliable than other surveyors.

Use Alatvista's Babel Fish translator. It can do most web-sites and may
make enough sense for you to get the gist of what is on offer.

It's a matter of translating the form that they use for describing the
boats. I am not sure if Babel Fish would be much use. It's no 'kin use
with normal Dutch text.
Maybe an e-mail would get you a copy of the English version of the
form.

Thanks mate,
Done the drive past Amsterdam on a couple of occasions and worked on boats
for several years when I was over in the states, hence I'd do my own survey.
I'll let you know if I find any sites on the continent doing boat sales.
