would it be good to buy a polaris watercraft now that people may be wanting
to get rid of them for cheap as the market for a non-supportive company will
grow small.

or better to just stay away from them as they are a dying breed ?

Much like Tigershark, the value is probably going to drop like a rock.
Unlike TS, there is a much wider distribution of the product and so more
likely to be able to find parts. However, dealers are going to reduce
their parts inventories to little or nothing especially if Polaris
offers a buyback program for existing parts inventory and so it may take
some time to get replacements by this time next year. In the long run,
I'd avoid the brand just because their will be no dealer support, no
technicians and rapid depreciation.
