again another newbie question...
I was out yesterday with very warm water and 85 degree air temps and
the water spray was usually welcome! but I can see that if the water
was any cooler or the air temp any cooler the evaporation effect will
make it a rather cold ride on the ski- and I would like to ride for at
least another month or two- (northern NY)
is it a wet suit that is required for colder weather riding?
how does a wet suit work?
any manufacture recommendations?
as always, thanks for the info, it has proved invaluable! >> Stay informed about: newbie - wet suits?? |

We ride Ontario/Sandy Pond until it freezes over....never owned a wet
suit, but sometimes through a sweatshirt on under the vest for reasons you
stated. Our neighbors wear wet suits year round....pussys!
Where in northern NY do you ride????

I have both a full wetsuit made by body glove and a shorty with Overton's
Gladiator logo on it. I occasionally waterski early or late in the year so
the wetsuits are needed. In addition, I always wear neoprene shorts when
waterskiing or jetskiing. I like them better than a baggy swimsuit or shorts
and they help pad sensitive areas. I fully plan to wear my shorty suit when
it gets colder and I'm in North Carolina.
