Hi Guys, I need some help !

I am looking to buy a second hand ski. I have just sold a seadoo GSI which
was fine for the lakes but as I am a bit of a "lard Arse" ( 17 stone male ),
want to take a friend on the back with me and tow a wakeboard / kneeboard or
ring on the sea, I need something a little bit more stable. I have about
£5,200 to spend and really like Yamaha's reliability, looks and the silly
bit of water that jets up in the air !!!

A three seater seems to be a good idea but I have heard about a SUV? would I
get one over here in the uk for that kind of money or should I look at the
XL800 / 1200 range ? or what about the gp800r / 1200 range?

I would welcome any comments or help you could give me
Cheers

If you are looking at an suv,you might as well buy a boat.they are huge.the
xl1200 three seater would be the way to go for towing skiers, boards etc.the
kawasaki 1100 stx d.i is also an excellent reliable ski although some complain
that the seat height is too low.it will however get quite a bit better mpg and
is cleaner burning than the carbureated yamaha.
either is a good quality ski.good luck,scott

you will be much happier with the extra hp and torque that the triple puts out
for pulling skiers.it will also hold a higher resale in my opinion.most three
seat twin engine skis are entry level machines and are missing options like
reverse and a full set of gauges.happy hunting, scott

p.s isn't it a bit cold in the u.k for jet sking right now?
