guy,
Are you talking about a Republican boat, Democratic boat or an Independent
boat?  These particulars are very important in this group. Now when
purchasing a boat it's very important that you determine that all the
various parts, hull, engine, drive system and instrumentation are all
politically aligned otherwise there will be no controlling the critter. Just
be thankful that the most off topic posts are about politics and not
religion.

No, but it's a sign of the times - pretty endemic to almost all Usenet
newsgroups. Some are liberal, others are conservative, words on a
screen are misinterpreted, feelings are hurt and we're off to the
races because everybody thinks their position is the correct one.
Just use a set of filter rules to screen messages, people and what not
and you will filter out 90% of the politics.
That's what I do.

Many versions of Outhouse Excuse strip out the "OT" from the subject header.
