Wasn't he testifying before Congress the next day? Who paid for his trip
to DC? Who paid for the hotel room? Wasn't it the state of New York? He
should investigate himself for corruption. >> Stay informed about: Well hellllloooo, nurse! |

Your are correct. The constitution specifies that the president shall be
elected by the members of the electoral college. Some thing you and your
friends in the Democrat party have forgotten is that we are the United
*STATES* of America. >> Stay informed about: Well hellllloooo, nurse! |

If Gore had been Hillary, he would have just sued Congress to repeal the
Electoral College and declared himself the victor.

The current Democrat primary is really fun to watch. You couldn't have
scripted the race or the candidates any better. The problem with Hillary
is that this is her one and only shot at the job and it is slipping away
from her. >> Stay informed about: Well hellllloooo, nurse! |

Yep. She's in her political "prime" so to speak. There won't be another
chance.
She really should consider a long career in the Senate like she originally
claimed she had intentions of before she announced her presidential
candidacy (which, of course, is after she claimed she had no presidential
ambitions). She's a better Senator than she would be a POTUS.
The Senate can withstand a few liars, cheaters, deceitful and dishonest
people, simply due to the numbers.

Disregarding this, Spitzer had come into the Governor's office as Mr.
Clean. Since then, he has taken quite a few hits. This ain't going to
help him. >> Stay informed about: Well hellllloooo, nurse! |

If this is true, and if he actually hired a escort at $5000 who worked
in New York and traveled to Washington, DC, he violated the Mann Act
otherwise known as the The United States White-Slave Traffic Act of
1910.
Which is a felony.
Now, in my own mind, prostitution isn't necessarily a high level crime
as such. Morally problematic I agree, but a crime? Eh - not so much.
However, in Spitzer's case, he's an arrogant, holier-than-thou prick
who wantonly used criminal penalty threats in civil trials and used
dirt and personal destruction tactics both in the court room and in
politics. He busted high level prostitution rings in largely splashy
self promotions of sanctimonious bullshit and his "highly ethical"
approach to politics. HA!!!
If any politician deserves to hung out to dry, it's him.
What's really interesting about this is if he does resign, which seems
likely given the circumstances, according to most pundits, his Lt.
Governor will have to resign also - can't remember the reason, but
he's not capable of being governor.
Which means that the Speaker of the House is next in line and that's
the guy he tried to destroy in TrooperGate.
Irony is so much fun. :>) >> Stay informed about: Well hellllloooo, nurse! |

He's legally blind although I am not sure that would disqualify him.
