Sabre are the marinisers of the engine and it may well have a name or number
given by them

Ford 2.7 is the manufacturer of the base engine an its cylinder capacity.

You may well find other marinisers also use that engine but with slightly
different marine parts (Possibly Mermaid).

Andy - Ford of Great Britian is the primary engine manufacturer and Sabre
marinized the engine for marine use, hence Ford Sabre.

Hi Andy

If it is a straight 6 cylinder "D" series engine it may be the Cargo truck
engine, I think there were loads of these engines installed in a number of
boats, most were non turbo models
