I'm not sure why this stumps me - but it does Smile.

Do you folks put the drain plug in from the outside of the boat? Or the
inside?

I was always shown to do it from the inside, but when we bought our
first boat the dealer showed me from the outside. I feel like there
might be a reason for the dealer doing it that way, but darned if I know
why!

Well, with the old aluminum boat with outboard, the plug was one of
those flip the lever and it expands, so it went in from the inside for
a very obvious reason. But with the I/O, the compression type drain
plug screws in from the outside because you can't get at it from the
inside ... the engine's in the way.

Well, I've got an aluminum boat with an outboard. And I've always put
it in from the inside, until the dealer showed me on the outside. I
guess I can revert to putting it in from the inside again without
feeling like people are watching me funny Smile.
