need advice repairing a waverunner fiberglass body nic

Looks like you are not gonna get a lot of help here... Maybe you
should not have said it was a waverunner ... But anyway, it should
be an easy fix, however might need more info to send you on the right
path. Do you have access to both sides of the part? If so there is a
nice keyway patch technique that Payson and others use where you sand
the edges on both sides to form a bevel on both sides. Then you put
some cloth or mat with resin into the hole and cover both sides with
waxpaper and something to hold it in place until it dries, painting it
after is out of my range..

hey, thank you for this advice !
actually the hole is accessible from one side only since the other
side is inisde the waverunner.
can theese instructions still be applied to 1 sided fix ?
maybe with some small modifications ?

Sure, but I wish I could see a photo. Anyway, re-reading your post I
see that you say it went through the side into the backing, is the
backing still there? If it is, you can use it. Make a thickened paste
of polyester or epoxy and some thickener and smear some into the hole
against the backing (after cleaning the hole edges first) and lay some
layers of say, 6 oz fiberglass and thickened resin into the hole and
build it up until it is flush with the surrounding area. You will need
to taper the edge of the hole so you can have some overlapping of the
glass into the existing structure. If the hull is say 1/4 inch thick,
taper back the edge of the hole at least 1/2 to 3/4 inch and lay the
layers in. When it dries, sand and paint. I am suggesting polyester
here as it is a small hole and the thing is probably made with it too.
Like I said before, as far as painting gelcoat, that is something
someone else will have to address.

Best use epoxy in case there is anything back there like foam that
polyester would dissolve.

I use epoxy resin and fiberglass cloth. Regular car paint works well.
Evercoat makes an SMC resin that is easy to work with for small repairs,
with fiberglass mat.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
