Post subject: Whitewater kayak for a big man
Archived from groups: rec>boats>paddle (more info?)

I just finished a beginning kayaking course at NOC in Western NC and
want to do more. I'd like to get a boat for river running with some
playboat capabilities. My problem is that I'm 6'5", 240 lbs and was
unable to fit in the standard boats that NOC had. I ended up using a
Dagger Approach which is kind of a compromise boat between whitewater
and flatwater... and I'm interested only in whitewater.

Looking around on the web, possible boats for big beginners include the
Dagger RPM Max and the Jackson Super Fun. Any opinions on these boats
or any other whitewater boats for large beginners?

Thanks in advance,

Scott
