My original battery for my 2001 Sea-Doo GTX-DI lasted 4yrs, then the dealer
sold me a Deka brand and said it was just as good, well it was not. Not
even close, this is the second season for it and it will barely turn over
the engine. I feel I took care of it, it never saw a charge of more than 2
amps and I brought it in the house for the winter. Does anyone else have
any experience with Deka and what would you recommend to buy. I saw an
earlier post as to where to buy, but what particular brand is best. >> Stay informed about: Whats the best battery to buy? |

I ran Odyssey's for a bunch of years.... then switched to Deka... which I
prefer.
Are you sure there isn't some other problem with your Doo... like a charging
problem?

Deka is actually a great car and PWC battery. I put one in my wife's Prelude
that lasted forever.
I replaced the stock Yuasa in my 2001 XLT 1200 with an Odyssea by Permaseal.
It's a gel battery and has served me well for two+ seasons now. >> Stay informed about: Whats the best battery to buy? |

Do you mean an Odyssey by Hawker?
That's an AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery. Some call them "dry cells".
The Deka is an AGM also.

My mistake. I meant an Xtreme by Permaseal.
