Clarify for me please... are you kidding, or are you actively soliciting a
stolen or otherwise questionable ski?

Craig - hoping you're kidding.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Just makin' sure.

I have a 750ss couch that is 'otherwise questionable'. It came from a guy
who was injured in a boating accident and will never be concious again. I
got it from the mechanic who was rebuilding it when the accident happened.
It's not like the guy can sign any paperwork to sign it over to me in his
condition and it's not worth whatever hassle might be involved in getting
proper paperwork. Eventually I'll probably stick the 750 in a 440/550
hull.

I dunno, I always keep my eyes peeled too, and there just don't seem to be
many. I know where a bunch of non-running ones are.

I'm not too far away in northern MD and I've been looking for you since
your original post... now that I know there's reward money in it, I'll
look harder!

True, but I'd been following along anyway.

Can I interest you in a fine TS650? Wink

His father gave the shop the OK to get rid of the ski - he told the shop
owner to junk it or do whatever he wanted with it. He (the father) wanted
nothing to do with it, and isn't interested in being involved in helping
sort the paperwork out. I'm certainly not going to press it, considering
the circumstances.

The ski has a custom vented case (dropped a piston skirt and it needed a
way out) and is generally rough, so it's just a parts ski to me. Besides,
it's a sit down... what would I do with that? Wink Eventually I'll fix the
motor for a 440/550 hull. Maybe.

I wouldn't ride without a registration. Like you say, the cops just love
to pull jet skis over as often as possible. I enjoy being completely legal
when they do.

I didn't think that was legal to go around without the registration. That's
the first thing the cops ask for around here (Florida), and they really
don't like jet skis -- it's a napoleon thing with cops. They feel anything
that can outrun them a threat. They stopped our 350hp I/O, because they felt
we were on a plane in a slow zone.

The guy in the boating accident surely has a power of attorney wondering
where the boat is...
