We are a family of Canadians. We cruise on our 41' Gulfstar, based out of
Florida. We usually go four to six months at a time. This year we are
planning eighteen months or more.

We have been buying Alberta Blue Cross travel insurance & buying extensions
to the usual 30-days to a maximum of six months. If we go for eighteen
months this will not work.

Any ideas on where to buy family health insurance for such a cruise?

Glenn.

I'd suggest asking in rec.boats.cruising or other cruising forum (use
a throw-away email there). There are lots of U.S. companies that sell
medical insurance. I wouldn't recommend what we did, going without
after Blue Cross expired.
