Were the straps buzzing or flapping real fast? When hauling freight on
a flatbed trailer, I always put a twist or 2 in the strap where it
comes down the side. That keeps it from vibrating or buzzing. You've
seen tractor-trailers on the interstate hauling a flatbed trailer and
the strap is vibrating and buzzing/flapping. It looks a little loose
but it's just the wind rushing across it at speed. If those straps are
given a twist or 2, they tend not to buzz and flap. It doesn't look
good to be hauling a load of freight and your straps are all
fluttering. Gets the attention of DOT real fast. Some old timer taught
me this when I
pulled flatbeds one summer.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
