In open sea engine misfired on both cylinders simultanously a few minutes,
and then stoppet. Impossible to start after repeated attempts.
At last it fired on one cylinder and I was able to return to safety. Next
day it started and ran normally.
I do not want to go to sea until I have found out what caused the fault,
and100% sure it will not happen again.
What could it have been? CDI? Pulser coil? Moisture?
Anybody know this ignition failure pattern?

John

Could have been a bit of water in the fuel. you could completely drain
the tank in a clear container and check for any sign of water.

Hey Jim, thanks for your answer.

I would have suspected the fuel supply too unless
the failure was verified to be an ignition problem.
Ignition cutoff on both cylinders in 1 sec. intervals,
full stop, and then firing on one cylinder.
After a while it was working ok.
A problem the Suzuki experts cannot solve.
I don't like to go to sea before I am 100% sure it will not come back.

John, which is grounded.

Sounds reasonable John. I would guess the next words you hear will be
"power pack " or someyhing similar. Good Luck
