Post subject: Non Starting Outboard
Archived from groups: uk>rec>boats>motor (more info?)

Hi

I have a Suzuki DT3.5 outboard which until last week ran fine.

Last week I was having a problem with the carb flooding.
I stripped and cleaned the carb which seemed to fixed the problem for a
couple of outings.

The last outing the engine ran fine.
The next time I came to use the engine it would not start.

I have checked the carb and blow it with compressed air and everything seems
fine.
I have a spark and compression.
I do not seem to have any petrol reaching the spark plug.
The carb bowl is filling with petrol and the petrol pump is ok.

Any ideas where to look next or could somebody point me to a good
forum/newsgroup to ask this question

cheers

kin
