Allan,
I don't know the exact stain that would be used for the blonde areas on
your hull but I can tell you where to get the Corina Blonde stain used for
the blonde areas on Chris Crafts. Sandusky Paints makes the Chris Craft
Corina Blonde stain for Chris Crafts and it looks great. I've used it on my
boat. I guess whether you want to use that stain on your's depends on how
meticulous you are for being absolutely original. At least that gives you a
start. You can get it through Southern Crown Boatworks in Atlanta (770)
454-8798.
As for caulking the seams, go ahead and stain and varnish your deck and
do the caulking when you plan on putting about 2 or 3 more coats of varnish
on. You want to do it a couple of coats before you're finished. Use the
Sikaflex 291. Do NOT use the Sikaflex 291 Fast Cure. After you caulk, you
want to paint the stripes with a white boot top or waterline paint. Have
fun!
