Post subject: Urgent Spark Question...
Archived from groups: rec>sport>jetski (more info?)

Hi. I just installed an SBT motor in my 1996 Polaris SLT 780. The tear
out and install went pretty smooth, but now I have no spark. Actually, I
get initial spark in one cylinder, but only for a few revs.

The wiring was pretty simple and I'm confident it is all sound. I have
good ground, battery and new plugs.

Now if I can only diagnos the lack of spark.

Is there any way to test the CDI or stator? Any other suggestions?

MUCH THANKS!!!!

PS: Summer is ticking away, and I really want to get this boat wet
again!
