Can anybody recommend an outfitter that will rent canoes and provide
drop off and pickup service? I would like to take my 2 sons on an
overnight canoe trip. Preferably on a river and within 300 miles of
San Diego county.

My trip is 2 dads, 3 sons between 6 and 8 years old. I used to canoe
on the upper Allegheny river and it is one of the few enjoyable things
I remember about my childhood.

Carl

Off hand I was wondering if canoing between I-10 and I-8 is possible
and/or enjoyable?

If you need an outfitter only two come to mind... Topock Gorge on the
Colorado near Needles, or Black Canyon just below Hoover Dam. Other trips
from Walters camp or Mitchels camp to past Picacho St Park. Not sure about
outfitters though.
