Ricky
Are you willing to bet 10 grand that the counter balancer spins twice the
crankshaft speed?
I am willing to post a VIDEO of an assembled 800 motor with the crankshaft
and counter balance gears "exposed" being spun by "hand" which proves that
they rotate at the exact same speed.
I will pull an 800 motor out of my running boat to prove this if you are
willing to make the wager. >> Stay informed about: Ricky |

| Bring an 800 to jet jam with $10,000 real cash, no counter fits, and
yer on dude, that would be some cushy racing money.

Proving this math - o - matacally is useless also, you can't follow
along, I'l let you wallow in the mud. Ranting and raving about gear
ratio's, and you didn't look at the shaft diameters, you blow low,
bunch o geeks.

At best Ricky's assets total $1.38 and a Zippo lighter.

Triple it and I want a LOT of that action.
But... dayum.. Prichard doesn't have any money... or any assets worth much
of anything.

It's that deafening silence that always occurs when that little 3 watt bulb
above Prichards noggin' lights up... and he once again realizes that he is
terribly, terribly wrong.
We get a lot of that around here....

3 watts? Damn I think that bulb of his will run for like 47 years on one AA
battery. To say it isn't too bright is a considerable overstatement.

The easiest way to visualize this rpm difference is to think of the
gears as a back sprocket on a quad, think of the shaft diameters as the
back tires on a quad, now think of two sets of back tires, one smaller
in diameter and one larger, with a 2:1 ratio, it takes the smaller tire
two revolutions to go the same distance as the bigger tire, the smaller
tire has to turn two times faster to go the same distance the larger
tire.
I'm not doing this anymore, I should be paid a consulting fee, I get
into some deep sheet, most tuners on the net charge for jetting kits,
the net is used by allot jet ski companies to make money, I'm in way
deeper material than most of PWC company's, it's true I have too much
time on my hands, but I'm going to control myself and stay off the net
more, getting this deep into engine topics for free is ridiculous. By
the way if you still want to pay me $10,000 for this info, I'l be glad
to take it, it's going to be easy to prove.

Does anybody know who this guy actually is and where he lives? I am willing
to make the drive to jet jam but if he doesn't show I want to know where I
have to go to collect the cash.

Like I said, I'm not doing this anymore, most tuners charge for jet
kits on the net, I'm into balancer shafts and harmonics, and a host of
other ME topics, all for free, I'm going to control myself, consulting
fee's of $100 an hour would not be out of the question for this type of
info.

Fiz if you really was an engineer, you would know that a SD 800 inline
twin makes second order harmonics, the engine configuration tells you
that, A ME would have never argued this to begin with.
