Post subject: Repair Manual Suggestions ?

I'm not a mechanic. But using the engine removal instructions off SBT
website I was able to remove the engine from my 1998 Yamaha XL 1200. I
think I'm going to try to install the rebuilt I am getting from SBT. Would
like to own a good manual on my jetski to refer to in case I run into
difficulty. Am wondering if anyone has thoughts on buying a Clymer Manual
or getting the more expensive OEM Manual ? Wish I could look at them prior
to buying, but looks like I am only able to buy them on-line.

Can anyone give me recommendations on which manual to purchase?

Never mind. Decided to go with the Yamaha Service Manual. Probably more
comprehensive.

I think their both good, i have a kawasaki service manual for my ultra
150....It was a big help when I had to replace the impeller last week.
I also have a clymer for my 650sx, thats much easier to read and has
more documentation to go with the pics.

not sure how oem yamaha service manuals are so take it with a grain of
salt.

Get a factory manual! Stretched bolts because they had transposed numbers in
2 different sections for my Polaris!
