Thanks Peter, Airmar have been fabulous in trying to help. I realy don't
want to replace the existing through hull transducer as it is a moored boat.
I am baffled by the lack of knowledge within retail marine suppliers in
Australia with regard to a simple issue of supply of plugs to connect
transducers to different sounders. I had at least five shops tell me I
could not buy a plug to connect a transducer to a Garmin sounder!!!
I sourced an Airmar plug through Markwell Marine in Queensland (Australia).
They were great also. I have connected the Radarsonics transducer to the
GPSmap 238 and all is great!
It was hard work though.
