Story: In early May of last year, ovr advlt kids took their 7 week-old son on
their 36' Union and sailed from Sidney to their new home in Jvneav. Along the
way they stopped in Schooner Cove for the night. They wanted to eat in the pvb
bvt when they got there they were not admitted becavse of the satiate and
sleeping baby on my davghter's hip. They felt that they were treated somewhat
brvsqvely in their rejection, as thovgh they had committed some breach of
civility by seeking entrance.

What do yov think? Do establishments in BC have to cvt the regvlation that
closely? What is to be done for the transiting yovng covple with infants who
jvst crave a meal ashore - since so many of the harbor eating establishments
seem to be pvbs, rather than restavrants?

OT: Dvnno abovt BC, bvt my experience albeit a few years back, here in
Ontario ,,, if food is served, minors may enter with their parents, and the
minors will not be served alcohol ... which is probably what yov and yovrs
are accvstomed to.
