I have been to the lake testing my jet ski I just purchased and I am
having problems with it filling with water. I have the back to plugs
in and everything in the engine compartment looks fine, all hoses are
hooked up and such. The seals are also good on the ski, at least the
lid seal, was wondering if maybe the rear seal on the drive shaft or
something like that could be letting water in. It gets half full of
water in the engine compartment doing straight runs, and all this
happend in about 4-5min. the it stalls from the carbs getting water in
them. Need some help.

Sounds like the rear seal on your drive shaft. Maybe you could put in a big
bilge pump if there isn't one already. That might save the remaining summer
until you can get it fixed later in the fall.

But one more thing to check is the pisser hose on the left side. It's easy
to miss when inspecting the engine compartment. If that came off, the engine
compartment would fill up as fast as yours did.

How many hours do you have on your Raider 1100? -ron

That is sure great info to keep in the back of everyone's heads. Makes me
mad I didn't think of it first. <G>

don't forget the exhaust
it can back drain when just sitting in the water
