I came pretty close to buying a new Polaris this spring. I ended up going
with a Kawasaki Ultra because I wanted a 2 seater and Polaris only offered 3
and 4 seaters. I'm glad I didn't go with Polaris now. They are the
dominant make here in Minnesota and usually a first choice.

I remember when Artic Cat got out of the PWC market. The price of their
skis, new and used. dropped like a rock.

Damn dude that sucks, I just dropped $10k on an MSX150, my first jetski and
I don't know a thing about fixing it. Is there anything I should be doing
like buying some specialized replacement parts?

think about it , their getting out cause its not profitable to make pwc , but
selling parts for crafts already R&D'd and in the feild ,would seem profitable
if they handled it right ,they probably use the same vendors that supply them
parts for there other product's,<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

they are getting out becasue their boats sucked... and hence had no
sales

they got spread too thin. they were a snowmobile company that thought
they could do it all...

and they were not in the pwc business long enough to have gained the
knowledge to create a great hull, and the hull is the key! almost
anyone can make a good-great motor! but its the hull that makes a
boat!

I love the MSX haul, that's the reason I bought it.

Yeah the sltx hull and the virage hull sucked!!!!! I do not think have ridden
much, or you think the yamaha lean is what ridding is all about. Or maybe
sitting with your knees in your throat on any stx out there is comfy, not to
mention slow. I think you need to revise the statement about there hulls!

OMG. I'm glad I sold my 97 SLT700 for $2900 with no trailer a month ago.
No way I will sell the SLX780. Still one of the funner 2 seaters out
there along with the X-4 Doo. I'm really surprised at this news. Maybe
I'll get a chance to buy an Octane dirt chea now? I guess Bombardier is
the only innovative company left in PWC because the rest sure don't push
the envelope like Polaris and Doo. What about the Matrix? Hopefully a
few were produced and will be sold. That boat needs to make it to the
water as a final statement. RIP Polaris watercraft. I sure enjoyed them
since 95 with high fun factor and excellent reliability even in modded form.
