My favorite place to go with PWCs has been lake powell in AZ. We've been
trying to go farther and farther into the lake but fuel is becoming a real
problem. I've been trying to find out which pwcs have good MPG, haven't been
able to find any stats, anyone out there no what machines have really good MPG.
So far I've had the best luck with the Polaris Virage I, but may not be able
to rent that machine again, are the other Polaris machines comparible (such as
MSX-100) as far as MPG? Any sea-doo models have good MPG?
Help appreciated, thanks >> Stay informed about: PWC fuel efficiency |

The best fuel mileage will be on a Polaris watercraft period. Sea-Doo
and Yamaha seem to have the worst and Kawasaki falls somewhere in between.

polaris fuel injected is miserly.. 2cyl would be the best for gph..
kawi 1100 stx di is miserly for a 3 cyl...
any 4 stroke 3cyl will double the distance of a carb 3 cyl...
cruising gph is about 40% usage of full throttle operation.. >> Stay informed about: PWC fuel efficiency |

Did you mean to say "will double the distance of a two
stroke 3 cyl?" Or, are you comparing fuel injection to
carburetion?

yes i meant 4 stroke injected 3cyl vs 2 stroke carb 3 cyl, and some
injected 2 strokes (gp13r is a gas pig)...
thx for asking for clarification<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: PWC fuel efficiency |

Thanks for all the input from everybody. I did contact a Polaris dealer and
got the following stats:
Polaris Virage i: estimated 133.5 miles per tank at full open throttle
MSX-100: estimated 131 miles per tank at full open throttle
I'm assuming that's for 2004 models. So basically renting a Polaris machine
for long range is the way to go. >> Stay informed about: PWC fuel efficiency |
