As I hurtle towards retirement, I,m thinking of buying a cruiser.

My experience of boats is limited to minor inshore many years ago, so:

idease on how to learn &
where to look to buy

would be appreciated. I live in Edinburgh.

Norman

Hi Norman,

You can get some good tips from the forums at www.ybw.com, lots of friendly
folks there who are willing to help. www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk is a good
site for second hand boat buying.

Make sure you think very carefully about what you want to the boat for
(fishing, overnight stay etc), where you are going to keep it and how much
you want to pay.

You might want to buy a copy of Boat Mart. It's the most down to earth all
round boating mag' with great reading and plenty of boat ads'
