Archived from groups: uk>rec>boats>motor (more info?)

I'm currently looking at a boat (24' coastal cruiser, built 1988 approx)
made by a firm called Na'tant. I've never heard of them, and I can't find
anything via Google. Has anyone got any info about the firm or their
products?

I bought a Na'Tant 24 2 years ago and like yourself could find out very little about them. I don't think that many were built. They are a superb motor / motor sailor boat and are very well constructed. Mine is 1973 and has a Mercedes 636 series engine, marinised.
You will find a few for sale in the UK if you search through Google or the likes. They cruise at approx 6-7 knots but I have hit 10 with tide and full throttle!(2500 revs).
I regularly cross the Irish Sea in it also and it is a good sea boat. It drops to about 4 knots against a strong tide but will puch the tide reasonably well and is quite comfortable.
They have a good aft deck for fishing and it is quite deep and safe for children (and dogs!). The roof is a big advantage also in heavy seas or wet days. Some advertisers show them as a 2 berth but I have had 4 quite comfortably too. Let me know if you want any more infomation on them.
