Hi all,

I am a novice potential boat owner living in Arbroath Scotland directly on
the north sea.

I have always fancied an MFV 35 foot or bigger and now I am living right on
the sea , its now or never.

We have small kids that I would like to be raised having an awareness of
nature, the elements, the sea etc and it would seem a good way to go about
it.

I have been looking at some boats for sale on the net but have not made any
serious offers.

Does anyone have any advice as to whether getting such a boat is a good or a
bad idea given my relatively little sea experience.

They do seem roomy and would be great for holidays, fishing trips etc.

Regards Alan

PS....I am happy to do some work on such a boat but serious hull or deck
work is way outwith my abilities.
