Post subject: Leaky Canvas hoods

The hood on our cruiser is leaking at the seams. plus there are
various pinholes dotted all over. We tried fabsil spray, which
appeared next to useless. Is there something of more substance, say
brush on and thick, that one could use to seal the stitching?

Camping shops sell 'seam sealer' for tent seams. Ok for polyeaster,
canvas etc which sounds like the stuff you need. But and there is
always a but, it is NOT invisible, looks like a snail trail when it's dried.
