This questions has probably been discussed to death, but I am considering
buying an 01' Ultra 130DI and an 02' STX 1100DI. Am I wrong or does
Kawasaki seem to be much less popular than the other two major PWC
manufacturers. Why is that?

Anxious to hear your comments.

I have seen many Yamaha and Seadoo pwc broken down at the docks or in
the lake. Perhaps qualitly has improved but I would stick with
Kawasaki. I have owned several of them including an Ultra 150 and
never had a problem, well except when I sucked up railroad bed rock.

I have had a 1999 Ultra 150 bought new and ride only in the ocean, salt
water for 7 years and have replaced the pump bearing last year. That was it,
I would choose no other brand for reliability. I will say the Ultra's are
very fast and you need to know how to ride. The Yamaha is much more
forgiving to a novice. But not as fun if you like to be on the edge.
