Post subject: Inter Agency Yacht Race: A charity challange for companies and individuals in advertising , marketing and related business!
Archived from groups: rec>boats>racing (more info?)

Inaugurated with a great deal of success in 1988, the annual Inter
Agency Yacht Race ( www.iayr.org.uk ) gives those in advertising,
marketing and related businesses a unique opportunity to take up a
sporting challenge against each other, whilst at the same time raising
a not inconsiderable sum for charity.

Knowing how agencies thrive under pressure, we are hoping you will join
us to compete in this years race, to be held from the 8th and 9 th of
June2006 at Port Solent, Portsmouth. Once again the race is being held
to raise money for Helen & Douglas House Hospices, (
www.helenanddouglas.org.uk ) which offer care and support to terminally
ill children / young adults and their families. Approx. half of each
entry fee goes directly to the charity.

Previous events were a riotous success as raised a typical amount of
£10.000 per annum for Helen House and Douglas House Hospices. We 've
had great sailing and good company : up to 15 boats are expected to
take part in this years races.

For more information and entry details please visit: www.iayr.org.uk
