I'd like to buy a Hull Raiser for my Forester. I need my kayak, a Necky
LV--14', to be on its side, or my back hatch won't open fully. Anyone had
any experience with it on a Forester? I'm assuming that I can mount it on
the two roof rack bars without any extra parts. Is it easy to get a 40-50
pound kayak on the Raiser? It's certainly easy for me to attach it to the
two rack rails with straps. If I put a rug on the back above the hatch,
then once I get the front end on the rug I can slide the kayak onto the
rack and strap it down.

Some folks have had problems with hully's on auto mfg. stock rails. Too
much flex side to side in the wind, or caused by vehicles draft. I suspect
that you will also have to purchase parts to mate Hullys to stock rails from
either Thule or Yakama.
