Hello,

I am looking for a knot to tie to protect a 5-gal glass carboy.

Thank you

You could try a "Turk's Head". In fact several side-by-side on the carboy
might be needed. That should provide a good cushion for the glass. I
searched on Google for "turks head" and this site (among others) came up:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.northnet.org/ropeworks/archive/Aturkhed.html" target="_blank">http://www.northnet.org/ropeworks/archive/Aturkhed.html</a>

Good luck!
