Anyone have or know a source for a new or good used head for a volvo
penta AQ131a engine. This is a four cylinder gas engine. I am not
sure if the head is interchangeable with any other models? My engine
is out of a 1986 bayliner.

I had an exhaust valve fail and ruined the head and #4 piston.

Any help would be appreciated. Other wise I may have a source for
parts for someone else.

I am in the area of Portland Oregon. If anyone knows of any good
salvage yards in the area that may have this engine or boat, Please let
me know.

I can't get that site to open. The link isn't working or there is a
problem with my internet connection?

Thank you.

That site has all the parts listed I would need. Unfortunately the
prices listed are more than I am willing to spend to repair a 20 + year
old engine.

I guess I am going to have to find a used/referbished source.
Otherwise I don't think the engine would be worth repairing.

I have the engine at a shop now and they are looking for a reasonably
priced used head as well. I was just hoping someone might be able to
help me find one available on the internet.

I thought for sure these guys would have what you need, but I don't see
any Volvo heads on the site. Call them up anyway - they are very helpful.

I own a marina in Portland. Drop me a line, and I will give you a fair
deal.
