I've been given a couple of 6v Trojan T-105 [or 106, I forget] batteries.

How should they be installed, i.e. cable size ?

For charging, how should the charger and battery cables be connected so
that I can use a 12v charger ?

To avoid under & over charging:

What type 12v charger can be used and which should be avoided ?

Are there low priced chargers that are suitable and which one(s) ?

Thank you.

Use a short jumper between one battery's "+" terminal and the other
battery's "-" terminal. Use the same size wire you use for your
other batteries. You now have a 12v battery. Treat it like any
other 12v battery.

On my boat, I have a 20 hp inboard, and am probably a fool for using
typical car sized cables. Big waste of weight, if you ask me, as my
starter probably uses about 50 amps to start.
