I agree. I remember watching Eli Manning's dad, Archie, as quarterback at
Ole Miss. I attended a game in Oxford, MS during the 1960s. Don't remember
if he could pass or not, but he was an exciting runner. Really all over the
field. Would probably run 150 yards to make a 50 yard gain. What a legacy
with his sons.

Think of the positive. We don't have to listen to the rest of the

My theory is that the Pats fell victim to their own press, and
possibly didn't realize until too late in the game that they wouldn't
be able to sleep walk through four quarters and automatically go home
with the title.

Example- last couple of minutes of the game. 4-5 Pats have hold of
some part or another of Eli Manning. It looks like lights out for the
Giants. Suddenly Manning (not a great big guy by NFL standards) just
simply wiggles free and can complete a play for a decent gain. The
Pats were already visualizing their Super Bowl rings, but Manning was
visualizing the end zone.

The Giants, on the other hand, knew they would have to paly the game
of their lives to have a chance against the "unbeatable" Pats- and so
they did.

The Giants defense really carried the day, IMO, with the offense
performing brilliantly just at those critical moments when it mattered
most.

a couple quotes:

"Football is a mistake. It combines the two worst elements of American
life: violence and committee meetings." (George F. Will)

"Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't
like
that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that. "

Yes, Archie had one helluva strong arm and accurate too But with the
Saints, he never had a decent line and seldom a decent receiver. He
spent his entire career scrambling. He was an all around, do
everything well, make things happen, athlete. And he had good success
at Ole Miss because he had a team around him. Unfortunately, he never
had that luxury in all his years with the Saints. In most cases, he
was the only reason fans went to the ball games. One losing season
after another, Saints fans would go (sometimes with paper bags over
their heads) only to watch Archie scramble and get himself out of one
impossible situation after another. He was a Super Bowl caliber
Quarterback who played year after year for an otherwise dismal and
mismanaged team. But he loved New Orleans and he never complained even
once that I know of.
He's a fine fellow with a great attitude both on and off the field.

I adamantly disagree.
The Patriots were damn lucky to win against the Giants in the regular
season game and they knew EXACTLY what they were up against. Last
night the Giants simply executed better and had a better game plan.

Reminded me of his Daddy Wink
Archie did exactly that on almost every down of his career with the
Saints lol!

I was rooting for NE, but the Giants played a better game for 4
quarters. The offensive line could not protect Brady, 5 sacks and he
felt the pressure on just about every play.

What I did like to see is two very great teams play aggressive football
for 60 minutes. It really doesn't get any better.

Eisboch,

Dinner and a movie and back in 30 minutes, that seems a little too
rushed for me, but then again, dinner with Harry might have seemed like
a lifetime.

I had dinner, a beer and one hell of a game. A group of us went up to
the local pub and had a great night. The only thing I missed was Paula
lackluster performance, but I did see in online.

Those Samsung Plasma TV's did look nice.
