I have checked back and this topic may have come up before but I could
not find it.

Who is the manufacturer of the connectors used in the Furuno 6 & 7 pin
interfaces in their chart plotters/radars?

BTW I just installed a complete Furuno instrument (FI-30), autopilot
autonav 500 and 7" and 10" VX2 chartplotter/radar system. While there
are some wrinkles with the 7" display it all went in quite nicely and
worked very well. I am really impressed with the quality of the
displays on the 7" and 10" plotters. Bright sunlight is absolutely no
problem!

I have asked Furuno representatives at technician seminars and always get
told "we make our own". Several independent technicians have told me around
the coffee pot that they are made by Honda. However, my web searches of
Honda products has yielded nothing even close.
Please let us know if you ever find a source of them besides buying a
premade cable with connector from Furuno.

Hey Doug,

Furuno did use Honda Plugs back in the KRA-124/448 series Radars back
25 years ago, and the Blue Main Cable Plugs of the 240/240MkII series,
were also Honda Plugs. Some of the 7xx and 11xx series were also Honda
Plugs, but these were only sold to Furuno and not Second Sourced. I
suspect that the 4 and 6 Pin Black, NEMA and Gyro, Plugs and Sockets are
also Honda Plugs, and again, NOT Second Sourced. Really nice plugs,
those, but not universally available except thru Furuno.

Autohelm 3000 connectors? - Hi, I have an old Autohelm 3000 which works great, but the locking ring for the drive motor connector broke off and has disappeared. Has anyone out there had this problem, and if so, where did you get a replacement connector? Thanks.
