Post subject: Friday Night Videos...
Archived from groups: rec>boats (more info?)

It's Friday Night videos. Tonight's subject is Mike Nesmith....

First up - a little ditty "Rodanne"...

Probably one of the strangest of Mike's videos, the next video is a
very subtle commentary on California's street scene. Coming around the
time of MTV "Cruisin'" was innovative and showed off the great
potential inherent in the genre. In case anybody thinks Sunset Sam
looks familiar, he should - it's Hulk Hogan.

Finally, probably the best video he ever produced - "Eldorado to The
Moon". Sweet, whimsical and visually appealing. At least I think it's
his best - others opt for "Cruisin'" and some "Rio".

"Rio" seems terribly busy to me. The lyrics are fun and there is an
element of whimsy in the video, but I preferred the tune and not the
video. It's not a classic blend of early video like "Crusin'" or
"Eldorado".
