Paddlefest looks for volunteers

Organizers of Paddlefest 2004 are seeking about 200 volunteers to help with this year's event, the largest canoe and kayak festival in the Midwest, to be held July 9-10. More than 2,000 people are expected to enjoy two days of camping and fun on the Ohio River. Paddlefest features a 6-mile canoe and kayak trip from the Four Seasons Marina off Kellogg Avenue to Sawyer Point downtown. All proceeds benefit the Ohio River Way, a nonprofit group dedicated to protecting the river. Volunteers receive a T-shirt and free admission to all Paddlefest events.
