Post subject: Engine Mounted Lag Bolts

I have an older Chris Craft Cruiser with 350 GM inboard engine. I just replaced the rear engine mounts and have the following questions;

1) How tight (what torque) should the lag bolts be as I fear stripping the wood.
2) The bolts have split ring lock washers, which I feel should be replaced with a serrated lock washer so constant tension is NOT placed on the wood
stringers. What do you think?
3) Should any type of marine adhesive or an epoxy be be added to the bolts to lock them in place? If so, the next time a prop shaft adjustment is needed, loosening the bolts would strip out the wood. What do you think?

Tx,
James
