Dolly for MiniCups

I set my dolly up to have 4 wheels rather than the standard 2. It made a
huge difference in how easy it was to manouver the boats. I just had to
remember to hang on to the dolly when going down the ramp <g>.

I have seen people build dolly with four wheels, but they generally
make all four wheels able to swivel. it makes the whold thing very
menuverable, esp. for storage in a shed or such. You can push the
darn thing any direction you want and it goes there.

I scooped about 3 gals of water from the cockpit, a life jacket, the
rudder and rudder box and the dagger board. It seems lighter now. I
think this'll work.

A sailing club I used to belong too sunk a chain into the ramp.
You might try running a line between the truck hitch and the trailer
tongue to use as a brake. Wrap it once around your body and ease it off as
you ease the trailer down the ramp. To get the loaded trailer up the ramp
the mainsheet and blocks from one of the boats would help. I've seen the
crank on the trailer used to wind it up the ramp. Attach the loose end to
the hitch on the truck.
