Why are Pyranha Inazones sometimes separated into two groups: The
models numbered 212, 222, 232 and 242, and the ones numbered 220, 230
and 240? Are they all just different sizes of exactly the same boat?
Also, what specifically is the difference between the whitewater spec
and the sport spec versions?

Thanks!

The 2x0 models are the originals
The 2x2 models were released a couple of seasons later

There are minor hull shape differences between the two series.

The 'x' is a size / volume differentiator, with the lower number being
the smaller boat.

The 212 does not seem to be in production anymore.

The sport series appears to have webbing grab-loops
The sport spec series either don't have a backband, or have a
different kind of backband.
There may be seat differences also.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I think that the number were for weight ranges. Smaller number for smaller
weights. As for the 230 vs 232 I think they were different years models.
Great boats can't go wrong with them.

The Sports Series have the non- adjustable
seat and thighbraces and a regular backband. The new inazones come with the
ratcheting adjustable outfitting.

I think all Wavesport boats have web grab loops. Mine does.
