Has anyone here cruised from Sarnia to Port Stanley?
How long of a journey and what lay overs do you recommend.

I have sailed from Port Credit to Port Colborne and then Port Colborne
to Sarnia and then via Tobermory to my homeport Lions' Head.

It depends whether or not you want to take in the U.S. side or not - we
did not because of the hassle of checking in to U.S. Customs.

I did the following harbours in one day trips.
1) Windsor to Sarnia in one day and that was against the current.
2)Amherstberg to Windsor in one day. You may or may not make Colchester
on that trip.
3) Rondeau Park to Colchester with a brief stop at Pelee Island but I
would spend a day on Pelee. I was delivering my boat and was in a hurry.
4) Port Stanley to Rondeau Park
5) Port Colborne to Stanley Park in 16 or so hours of non stop motor
sailing. Make sure you have enough fuel as there may not be any wind.
We almost ran out of fuel and we carried to jerry cans with 15 liters
each.
The engine was an Atomic IV and the boat was a C&C/HInterhoeller Redwing 30.
