If you notice in the forth picture, the bow can be seen coming out of the
wave almost vertical.
Dangerously close to pitchpoling, I suspect.

Well, it was there in 1977 anyway, when I worked with the National Guard
folks at Camp Roberts.

I used to get to do that my first 2 years in the Coast Guard but we
had the old 44 ft motor lifeboats. It was a lot of fun. It ain't bad
in the summer but that stuff is hard to stand in January on the
Washington coast in the northwest. But those 47 footers like those
pics have that enclosed heated cabin to use, we never had that on the
44's. It does look like one heck of a ride where they were sitting up
topside.

I don't think it pitch-poled, but it did spend some time upside-down.

Starter Search - My starter died - so I went to AutoZone to get a new one. I had them cross-reference a 68 Mustang, since it had the comparable 427 engine. I installed it yesterday, and the thing turned beautifully. This morning I tried to fire it up, and gas came..

Threw a rod? - Hello all, I have a 1993 Yamaha Pro V 150 on my Ranger 354V bass boat. I was running today , probably about 10 minutes straight at about 3/4 throttle, when all of a sudden (I don't know a whole lot about outboards) it sounded as if I had thrown a rod..
