I heard about free canoe trip from BP to the Statue of Liberty are
organized in the weekend.
Anybody has a link, or more info about it?

Have they eased up security at the Statue of Liberty? Last I heard,
after 911, security was pretty tight, and I think canoeing or kayaking
over to the Statue of Liberty island was not allowed. Dunno though.
