Sunny weather would be optimal, but I don't think cloudy weather would
necessarily be a total bust. Shooting in overcast skies is just another
skill to be mastered. A buddy of mine and myself are seriously considering
signing up for an upcoming workshop. Considering the workshops run for five
days, and all that they include, it's really not as expensive as it sounds.
In a small-group setting, I'm thinking you could learn more from one of
these guys over five days than you could learn from reading a dozen books.
And have more fun in the process. >> Stay informed about: Beautiful pictures |

Very nice photos, although I could have done without the silly US-shaped
mask treatment.
Here's a link to a Quicktime movie that is a slide show of photos of the
Southwest. All photos by Laurent Martrès. He's an interesting guy, I
recently purchased one of his books.
WARNING!!! The first several frames of the movie blatantly mention that
books have been written for unspeakable purpose of commercial sale, and that
photography workshops are available for the same dastardly purpose. If such
things offend you, then please spare yourself the agony and move on.
Nothing to see here. For the rest of you, enjoy the show.

Sort of a Native American/Sedona Vortex/New Age mix thing. Think David
Carradine with his flute, just before he opens a Costco-sized can of
whoop-ass. The sitar in the opening was a bit out of context, but overall,
it worked for me.

I have not seen or heard of it, but I just may order one of the used ones
from Amazon. How far can you go wrong for $4? >> Stay informed about: Beautiful pictures |

Don Imus is a serious and very talented photographer. I've got a book with
a collection of his southwest landscapes around here somewhere.

He's also a very talented artist not something a lot of people know
about because he never mentions it.
I have "Two Guys Four Corners" and it is incredible.
He's also one of the very few photographers who has successfully
recreated "Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico" by Ansel Adams. >> Stay informed about: Beautiful pictures |
