I have a 94 GTX which is essentially the same machine. I had similar
experiences a few weeks ago. Including only being able to run at
slightly higher than idle speed after a fillup.
Solution:
Change the fuel filter. I put a new fuel filter in, and voila, starts
and runs fine. Fuel filter is up under the hood, on right side -
follow the fuel line and you'll see it - it just unscrews.
another possibility is water in the gas, but go get a filter for 15
bucks, and you should be ready to go.
good luck
